Open House Day

Thinking about summer camp for your daughter? Come experience The Heart for yourself at our annual Open House! Join us for a fun and informative day where you’ll:

• Take a Guided Tour - Explore our beautiful campground and facilities. We will show you our historic Lodge, the tunnel that leads to our Guadalupe River frontage, a typical cabin, and activity areas. There will be a few do-on-your-own activities, such as tennis, pickleball, canoeing, art. And you can feed our friendly donkey!

• Meet Our Directors - Get to know the passionate leaders who make camp unforgettable. Director Jane Ragsdale and her family, Program Director Bailey McEachern and others will be on hand to meet and visit with you.

• Connect with Other Families - Chat with campers and their families, and prospective camper families just like yours.

• Learn About Camp Life - Discover our traditions, activities, and the heart behind The Heart. There is so much to tell! You will get a feel for the atmosphere and people who make “The Heart” a home.

• Enjoy Snacks & a Light Lunch - Because no camp visit is complete without sustenance! We will serve up hot dogs with all the trimmings, and s’more fixings will be available for a taste of something sweet.

Whether you're new to The Heart or just curious to learn more, our Open House is the perfect way to see what makes our camp so special.
